Ajey Nagar  better known online as CarryMinati , is an Indian YouTuber who uploads commentaries, roasts and reaction videos on his YouTube channel.

He is the most subscribed non-corporate Indian YouTuber and the second in India to reach 20 million subscribers after Amit Bhadana.

Carry also has a second channel named ‘CarryIsLive’ for livestreams. There he make gameplay videos.

YouTube Career

Ajey was 15 years old when he first started making YouTube videos.

Recording gameplay of games such as CS: GO and uploaded them on his channel. He later switched to a commentary style of videos, doing roasts and rants videos in front of a camera when he noticed that his gaming content wasn't gaining that much attention compare to this style. So started making this videos full time. Ajey kept making videos of this format, uploading roasts of Indian music videos and rap music by smaller artists whom he calls "bakchod". It was at this time where his channel started to grow since this format was quite new to Indian content on YouTube. Carry was obviously inspired by LeafyIsHere, an American commentary YouTuber who often makes fun of similar types of content featuring gameplay in the background.

Carry is also known for making his own rap music videos. He once attended YouTube FanFest 2017 at Jio Gardens, Mumbai, where he showed great enthusiasm and debuted his performance live.

He was listed as the Top 10 Next Generation Leaders by Times Magazine at the age of 19.

CarryMinati is a commentary channel that makes fun of other creators, so like many other channels of his kind, Carry started receiving copyright strikes from creators whose videos were roasted by Carry.

Carry get three strikes from YouTube creators because carry roast them.

"YouTube Vs TikTok: The End"

On May 8, 2020, Carry uploaded the finale to his series "YouTube vs TikTok", in which he roasted many famous Indian TikTok users such as Amir Siddiqui, who previously called out the YouTube community.

The video viraled, and as a result he gained one million subscribers that day, and a further 1.4 million the next day. Within a week he gained 5.7 million subscribers.

But sadly, the video was taken down on May 15, 2020 for supposed "harassment and cyberbullying". Carry's fans were extremely upset at YouTube for deleting the video, and as a result, a mass online protest ensued. Multiple hashtags went viral on Twitter, including #JusticeForCarry, which went number one trending internationally.
